With years of experience in the field of K-9 behavior modification, Dan understands that training must be customized to meet the individual needs of the pet and the owner.

Dan uses simple to learn obedience techniques which allow you, the owner, to modify your pet’s behavior, solving problems such as:

  • Jumping on people
  • Destructive Chewing
  • Pulling on the leash
  • Stealing of food and articles
  • Recall (the ‘come’ command)
  • and numerous other behavioral issues

thus teaching your pet proper manners in your home and public areas.

Veterinarian recommended and using only humane methods, Dan offers various programs to fit different training needs. A ‘Tunnel Vision’ or a ‘one-size-fits-all’ approach is never utilized.

For owners who are encountering a specific behavioral problem, one or two sessions may be all that’s needed. Popular with owners who have puppies, older pets or newly adopted dogs, a seven-session basic obedience course often does the trick.

Either way all training is done in the comfort of your home, where most offenses take place.

“Dan has a very organized approach to training, but was willing to adapt his program to Moxie’s particular needs, eg., her youthful exuberance. He was patient with us and Moxie who warmed to his firm but gentle approach.”
Howard and Susan M. Southampton, NY

“A million thanks for helping us start Mackie on the path to good citizenship. In spite of her Scottie nature she learned so much, and of course she loved you.”
Barbara M. Nassau Point, NY
